The Magic of Persia Family Weekend was held in conjunction with the opening of the permanent exhibition at the Jameel Islamic Gallery in March 2006 at the Victoria and Albert Museum.  Three weekend events featured and celebrated Arabic, Turkish and Iranian art.  Magic of Persia sponsored, managed and organised the Iranian art and heritage weekend activities entitled 'Poetry, Picnics and Persian Pastimes'. The activities included dance, music, a film workshop, film screenings, tombak workshops and epic narration.
